It's on the way to another destination, so each time I've thought I should go back just to paint or sketch the scene. For most artists who use Tahoe as a subject, it gets monotonous with the big, blue field of water and a steep, granitic foreground, but I've always fought the feeling, instead trying each time to discover a new way \u003cspan class=\"html-span xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\"\u003e\u003ca class=\"html-a xdj266r x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r xexx8yu x4uap5 x18d9i69 xkhd6sd x1hl2dhg x16tdsg8 x1vvkbs\" tabindex=\"-1\"\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e\u003c\/span\u003eof seeing it. And each time that I achieve something of the sort, I wonder if another idea will spring to life. It always does. Ideas are infinite for the artist who chooses to make them so with no fear of failure. Because failure is a big part of it. Doing something meaningful in art, by starting with nothing and ending with something, failure usually disguises the solution behind the sentiment of defeat. Only when we look back objectively at a later date do we see it clearly. So, finally, after several attempts to make an artistic success out of this shoreline arrangement of elements, it has turned into one of my most colorful block prints.
