For the first time, Craig Mitchell is giving away a limited-edition, hand-carved, hand-pulled block print inspired by the landscapes he has spent more than forty years painting — from the Nevada desert to Lake Tahoe and the high reaches of the Sierra Nevada.

A Print Inspired by Decades of Plein Air Painting

Every block print Craig creates begins with the hundreds of plein air field studies he painted over decades of exploring Nevada and the American West. These on-location paintings — made in the shifting desert light, along the shores of Lake Tahoe, and throughout the Sierra — serve as the foundation for each composition he carves, inks, and pulls by hand.

The giveaway print is:

• Signed and numbered

• Created from a hand-carved block based on Craig’s plein air studies

• Individually inked and printed in his Reno, Nevada studio

• Part of a small edition, with no guaranteed future reprints

Each print is a rare, collectible expression of the landscape and the craft behind it.
